Laser Hair Removal is a medical procedure that uses a concentrated beam of light (laser) to remove unwanted hair. During laser hair removal, a laser emits a light that is absorbed by the pigment (melanin) in the hair. The light energy is converted to heat, which damages the tube-shaped sacs within the skin (hair follicles) that produce hairs. This damage inhibits or delays future hair growth.
This intensive 4-day course is designed for students with no prior laser experience. The course objective is to thoroughly learn permanent hair reduction on all areas of the body. Students will be introduced to and taught to utilize IPL. They will achieve a thorough understanding of all aspects of the use of Medical Esthetic lasers. This class will teach laser safety, skin types, hair biology and growth cycles. Practical training will focus on students determining the proper amounts of energy and treatment protocols as well as positioning, room set-up and equipment.
Day 3: Students will be required to work on each other. Your instructor will review the steps in the prep
requirements on your first day of class.
